Just the Right Gear and the Security Office can issue trail passes prior to the event.

Carvins Cove Natural Reserve is the top 3rd largest city owned park in the U.S.  At 12,000 acres, the Cove hosts over 30 miles of pure singletrack and dynamite fire roads.  Within 25 minutes of downtown Roanoke, cyclists from all over Southwest Virginia and beyond come to experience the trail system.

All Experts,  (2-3 hours), 11:00am

(Expert 15-18, 19+, 35-44, 45+)

 

 

Bennett Springs Parking Lot - neutral start led by pace car, race starts at main gate.

Part 1: continue on Happy Valley FR (# 1) - left on Songbird (# 9) - cross Tunnel (# 19) - continue on Songbird - right on #1 then left on Tuck-A-Way (# 3), cross creek - right on Comet (# 4) - left on # 1 - left up Brushy Mtn FR (# 2)

Part 2: continue up #2 - descend Hemlock Tunnel (good ole Clownhead) (# 7) - over to Comet (# 4) - descend to 4-Way Intersection - continue through on #4 back to # 2 

Part 3: take the new Connector (green line) to Hidee Ho (# 17) make left up Hidee Ho - right on (# 2) - right to descend Buck's Rut (# 15) - towards bottom make right onto Hotel (# 16) to finish in Bennett Springs parking lot

All Sports, (1.5-2.5 hours), 11:10am

(Sport 15-18, 19+, 35-44, 45+)

Bennett Springs Parking Lot - ride out to end of Carvins Cove Road

Start at continue on Happy Valley FR (# 1) -  left on Songbird (# 9) - cross Tunnel (# 19) - continue on Songbird - right on #1 then left on Tuck-A-Way (# 3), cross creek - right on Comet (# 4) - left on # 1 - finish is at the intersection of Happy Valley and the start of Brushy Mtn FR.

Food and refreshments will be at the finish for all racers and volunteers.

Parking, portable toilets will be available.

YOU MUST PURCHASE A DAILY (PER PERSON) OR PRESENT YOUR YEARLY PASS BEFORE REGISTRATION

The daily pass is $1 for Roanoke City or County residents and $2 for all other visitors.

Yearly passes are $15 for Roanoke City or County residents and $30 for all others visitors.

Pre-ride and pre-purchase your pass.

Don't wait until the day of the event to purchase your daily or yearly pass.  You can pre-purchase a pass within a 10-day window from the event date.

We strongly encourage for you to pre-ride the course and purchase a pass for July 14-15th, or purchase a yearly pass.

Passes can be obtained at the Security Office or Just the Right Gear (closed Sundays!) prior to the event.

Registration/racer sign-in/packet pick-up is located under the tent near at the Bennett Springs Parking Lot
All racers (pre-registered and day of) must sign-in 30 minutes prior to start of event - NO EXCEPTIONS! - opens at 9:30am
Registration/sign-in closes at 10:30AM or 30 minutes prior to the start of the events.
All pre-registered racers need to bring or fill-out at registration a VAS Release Waiver which must be presented to registration 30 minutes prior to start of event.
